Inks and Print Techniques
We offer a variety of ink techniques such as plastisol, water-based, discharge, metallic, foil, soft-hand plastisol, glow in the dark, clear gel, and puff. The most common inks used are plastisol and water-based.
Plastisol Ink - Most Common
This ink is the most commonly used in the industry. Plastisol inks sit on top of the fabric, giving the image a superior color saturation, clarity, and durability for years of wear.
Water-Based Ink
Water based inks are eco-friendly and water soluble. The ink absorbs into the fibers of the garment making the design soft and breathable. They’re considered premium and desirable for achieving a high-end look.
Discharge Ink
Discharge ink is a water based product that bleaches the fabric to it’s un-died color. It has a very smooth feel and is excellent for dark colored shirts.
Metallic Ink
Metallic inks are infused with small particles to create a shimmer look. They are great for creating a foil or glitter imitation.
Foil Printing
Is a reflective mirror like technique applied by printing a coat of adhesive to the garment and then heat sealing the area with a sheet of foil.
Soft-hand Plastisol Ink
Is plastisol ink mixed with an additive to soften the ink. It creates a soft hand feel. This technique is often used to create a "vintage" look.
Glow in the Dark Ink Additive
Yes! Really. Glow in the dark screen printing ink is truly phosphorescent.
Clear Gel (Glossy) Ink
Clear gel creates a glossy effect that can be layered over other colors or used on it’s own. It can be used as a top layer to preserve your design for many years. It can also be tinted and is commonly used on sports jerseys and dance wear.
Puff Ink Additive
Puff ink is an additive that causes the ink to raise up creating a 3D print.
